Placing a pertinent emphasis on the “free form” in free form bass music, Florida’s illoh (Alec Cerrone) marches to no beat but that of his own drum. Alec grew up playing bass guitar, sitting in front of his amplifier, and melting into low frequencies. After shifting his focus to bass music production, he has expanded on his musical roots and focuses on melodic soundscapes and low-frequency articulation. His music synthesizes elements of old-school dubstep, alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, and World bass. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mersiv, Charlesthefirst, Mize, and Clozee, Alec seeks to create music that can be enjoyed in a bedroom, during late-night drives, and on festival stages.
