We are the UNLV Music Lab, where we do research on how children respond to and learn about music and other sounds. We are recruiting children age 6-15 years for a new study about how listeners respond emotionally to different sounds and to music. Come visit us and contribute to science while also having a blast! Over the course of two sessions, we will ask you and your child questions about sounds they like and dislike, their musical interests, and we will play short fun sound games with your child. Participants will be scheduled for two visits to the lab, and will receive a toy or t-shirt on visit 1, plus a $20 Amazon gift card at the end of visit 2. The study should take no more than one hour per visit (two hours total, plus the time it takes for you to complete an online questionnaire before the study). We might invite your child for an optional third visit.
