Description
Read entire post. I will delete post once she has found a home. 2 year old spayed German Shepherd female. Microchipped, UTD vaccinations, heartworm prevention. House trained, loves other dogs. Great off leash recall, great leash manners. E-collar trained. Would be a great fit for a dog savy household, be it as an only dog or as an addiction to a multi-dog house hold. As with alot of German Shepherds, she DOES have high prey drive. I will not consider her for households with indoor cats or a yard with outdoor cats that routinely visit. Needs supervision and recommended usage of E-collar and additional training to be good around small animals. For a household that does not have small animals, she is absolutely phenomenal. On walks she's easy to redirect. Great on-off switch and natural protection when caught off guard. Loves playing with children, meeting the Chewy Delivery driver and is a social bug. Crate trained. Not destructive in crate. Will not climb out of chain link runs. Has spent a small amount of time on a tie out while camping, hiking and while visiting friends. Great with ALL people, including young children. Has been raised with children and is great with unknown children as well. When inquiring I will only respond to emails containing the following- How many pets in household (as well as outside) AND if there are small pets HOW are you prepared to manage a high prey driven dog? Do you have a fenced in yard? This dog is not accustomed to staying on a tie out. She could do it- but personally I would like to see a fenced in yard or kennel run. How many people are in your household and are they in agreement on adding a large breed (AND SHEDDING!) dog? Who will be primary caregiver. Do you have a game plan in place in the event you are hospitalized and need a pet sitter (I will mention I am willing to discuss her coming to be babysat by us in the event of emergencies, vacations or...?) Where are you located, what time of the day us best to reach out and what is your phone number? And lastly, after hearing about her being prey driven (which is her ONLY vice) as well as the other information provided, do you feel she would be a great fit in your household? Would she be an indoor yard? There is a lower rehoming fee considering all the vetting and training put into her. If post is up, she is available. I specifically have not added a picture because the best picture I can give you of her is the information I've posted on her. She's a gorgeous girl and gets complicated constantly when out and about in public. Roughly 75lbs.
