Description
It is already happening. But like the beginning of a train wreck; the first couple of cars going off the tracks is just the start of it, with there being 100 following cars still to pile up, derail, flip over, burst into flames, etc. Its going to go on and on, and get a lot worse, before it stops. If you understand what I'm talking about, you know that situations can change rapidly. "Secure" jobs can disappear, what seem like assets can turn into liabilities, what seem like safe places can become vulnerable and dangerous, and things that you have expected to always be plentiful and readily available can become very scarce. Not only are we seeing those things happening, we are seeing an acceleration of the speed at which they are taking place and at which their number are increasing. It is going to require a whole new way of thinking, and a whole different set of skills than those that were adequate before. Those who don't prepare, learn, and adapt are not going to do well. Preparing isn't about buying a lot of expensive "stuff" that you will be reluctant to abandon if and when the need to get out of harm's way arises, and thus may end up being the cause of your demise rather than your salvation. What will be most valuable is what takes up no space, can be carried with you wherever you need to go without any additional weight, and can be used anywhere in any situation. The most valuable preparation is acquiring useful knowledge and skills. And since different people have different aptitudes for different areas of learning, and have different talents and skill sets, part of that acquisition is developing a trusted network of people involved in the same learning processes and experiences whose different knowledge and aptitudes will be able to bridge the gaps in yours, and work in a synergistic way with those you acquire. Reading or watching videos are no substitute for hands-on learning, and unless you have worked with someone and know how they will react, and how well they will do, in different situations you don't really know them and can't depend on them. So, if you realize that you need to quickly gain more of the real world knowledge and skills, and develop a network, that will get you through this, what you should do after reading this should be obvious.
