Reporting to the Liquid Fertilizer Supervisor, the Delivery Driver is responsible for making daily scheduled deliveries to customers using company truck and equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to make decisions with the organization’s mission of providing support to our company objectives, goals, and employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Safely load and deliver products to customers • Complete all necessary paperwork for each delivery, (i.e.) weigh ticket, manifest, delivery ticket • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck and equipment inspections • Perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning of delivery truck and equipment • Enter all deliveries on daily log • Keep liquid fertilizer yard clean (storage area, loading pad, tanks, etc.) • Assist with maintenance, repairs and installation of liquid fertilizer equipment in the yard and at customer sites. • Assist with loading and unloading of liquid fertilizer • Work assigned Saturdays • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or equivalent GED completion. Six to Twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education preferably in Agricultural setting Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Current, non-restricted California Driver's License (Class A) with all endorsements (Air brake, Tanker, and Haz- Mat endorsement). Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers, supervisors and employees. Bilingual (Spanish), preferred Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
