Description
Hi! My mom and I are looking for a parrot! Vocabulary isn't too important to us. My mom mainly just wants a bird that is able to laugh, and I want to work with parrots a little more than what I'm able to. I am willing to work with birds of all sizes, vocabularies, ages (though I prefer older), types, and more. I train with positive reinforcement, and encourage good behavior by giving treats and lots of praise. I am 15, looking for a bird for my birthday. My mom is letting me get a bird and is willing to pay for everything, I assure you that this bird will be loved. There are no small kids in the house and we are able to take your old cage or (I'm planning on building my own cage because none online are big enough). My mom and I live in a decent sized house (about 1500sft). This bird will pretty much have its own room. It'll be taken outside on a leash, allowed to free fly around the house (once we gate off the kitchen). My mom is experienced with birds, and so am I (I've worked with them, and she's owned them).
I would love to work with a cockatoo the most! Or a macaw of any kind. Though any bird I'm honestly grateful for. My aunt and uncle own a small acreage and the bird will be allowed to fly around on a leash there (unless recall trained.)
I've studied birds for about a year now and I'm confident in my abilities to take care of a parrot. My mom has had a few birds herself.
We'd need all your supplies, for the most part but we are willing to buy brand new toys as well.
Thank you!
