GPI construction is a 46+ year General Contracting /Construction Management firm located in Brattleboro Vermont, we are seeking and experienced carpenter to join our team. The majority of our sales volume is commercial and from repeat clients. Our geographic coverage area is southern Vermont, New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts. We perform a mix of Public/Private Construction management and hard bid projects with a focus on commercial construction, healthcare and general renovation. Our projects range from small renovations up to $3-4 million. Skills • Proven experience as carpenter- 5 years minimum • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) • Ability to read technical documents and drawings • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times • Good knowledge of English • Good understanding of basic math • Good physical condition and endurance • High school diploma: Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required • Valid Driver’s License Benefits Paid Holidays Eligible 2 months after hire date.
