well written diatribe, it serves your purpose well. only thing is, it applies to the 1700's, and times change. they used to burn women at the stake as witches, but society has progressed and become better educated. we no longer need to burn them. the simple fact that the 2nd amendment is the law and a good excuse for the gun manufacturers and those people who feel the need to carry these weapons doesn't make it okay. in the 21st century, lots of people feel that these types of guns are a menace to society. too many innocent people killed, too many excuses by the nra and republican politicians that are out of touch with the times that we live in. even gun owners must see some sense in the need for regulation. all of the suggestions i have seen that supposedly will reduce the killing don't seem like they will work, except for making these guns unavailable. why do you need to carry weapons such as these?
