I agree that Trump has forever changed the republican party. He has fractured the GOP. The Republican Party is split down the middle. Half are traditional conservatives that are part of the Reagan Bush era. Half are the newer angry Trumpublicans.
In my opinion Trump accomplished very little while in office but he definitely did accomplish stirring shit up. I believe Trump exacerbated the animosity and division between parties. The division between parties has always been relatively mild until Trump arrived. Trump has stoked the fire into rage between the red and the blue. I do not see this as a good thing however many Trumpublicans seem to be on board with anger and division.
I coudn't care less about parties personally. But is think that division within our nation only weakens us. Our forefathers named this the United States of America for a reason. Unity represents strength. So ultimately, I see Trumps presidency as a force that weakened what was once the most powerful and respected nation on earth.
