There is a huge gulf in pay and knowledge that separates make ready and home remodeling. With this in mind please carefully read this add and if your interested follow the directions. A working cell phone. No warrants. A minimum of 5 years of continued experience in Residential Remodeling that can be verified. Experience should consist of: Applicant should have basic understanding of building codes to insure proper installation of components. Carpentry: This includes framing, trim & crown, Door and window removal & install interior and exterior, wood floor & floor joist leveling, some cabinetry and its installation including hardware associated with it. Some structural experience will be necessary. Some wood & vinyl siding installation is required. Drywall: Applicant should be able to hang, Tape, bed and texture with use of a hopper gun or by hand, should be able to mix and use hot mud from 5min to 90min. Should know the different levels of finishes pertaining to drywall and be able to do them. Painting and coatings: Applicant should be able to do all paint/stain prep including correct techniques for masking, caulking, interior and exterior. They should be able to spray brush or roll. Should know the different sheens of coating and where they need to be used. Well versed in wood prep and sanding for fine finishes like lacquer and poly's. Plumbing & electrical: Basic skills switches plugs replacements, correct electrical junctions. Lights & fans. Sinks and faucet removal & installation, p traps shut offs removal and installation. Tub removal and installations, experience in peks is required. Flooring: Applicant should be able to set tile to floors and walls and install different types laminates. Basic knowledge in the erection of cement forms and light finishing of cement. Physical fitness: You will be lifting more then 80lbs, You will be working in direct sun sometimes. You may be on a ladder more then 25ft high. Of course your level of craftmanship in these areas is going to vary at each of these listed above. The question you should ask yourself is have I done these all before multiple times and is my confidence level sufficient at the level where they wont have to be torn out and redone. Other information that is required. This is a W-9 contract labor gig. So you will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. Proof of workers comp or a workers comp exempt form is required to start this gig. Tools to perform the above listed trades for this gig are required. We are a drug and alcohol free work place.
