This position is responsible for completing maintenance related work orders, light plumbing, electrical and general repairs as well as cleaning of the common areas, cutting and maintaining grass and assisting the building superintendent when needed. This is a full time 32BJ Union position. Salary $830.00 per week. Upon completion of probation period Handyman must reside in onsite apartment. Onsite apartment rent subsidy provided. Please forward your resume to: [email protected] Responsibilities: • Assist building superintendent with assigned tasks in a timely manner. • Cleaning of the common areas, assist in the cutting and maintaining of grass. • Keep all common area hallways and exterior of buildings free of trash. • Always represent the community in a professional manner while on property. • Respond to emergency situations during work and after work hours. • Immediately report all unsafe conditions. • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs to building management. Requirements: • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, & general lawn maintenance. • Must have the ability to successfully interact with tenants in a professional manner. • Must be able to work full time between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Saturday-Wednesday. • Neat and professional appearance demeanor throughout the workday. • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks described above without assistance.
