Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc. is seeking a full-time, Ground Crew/Line Person who is friendly, a dependable team player and responsible. Applicants should be able to follow directions, speak concisely and clearly, and have a good command of the English language, as you will be required to give a safety briefing before each flight. Job Summary The Ground Crew/Line Personnel role is for the right person who is responsible for loading and unloading helicopter passengers. Wash and wax helicopters and company vehicles. Yard work, cleaning/sanitizing and other duties as necessary. Line Personnel may be required to take on additional tasks to support the Guest Service Agents. Must have a current driver's license and be able to provide a clean driver's abstract as we do provide courtesy shuttles for passengers. Must be able to obtain all State and Federal Security badges. Ideal candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and 10-hour days, including some weekends and holidays. The Ground Crew/Line Personnel role also includes: Follow all company policies and procedures Loading passengers in/out of helicopters and vehicles Providing safety briefings to customers prior to flights Providing courtesy shuttle service as needed Washing, waxing, detailing of company vehicles Yard work including weed eating, mowing, picking up rubbish, washing office windows Maintaining the heliport seating area and outside storage shed in neat/orderly fashion, including sanitizing Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects without assistance (some heavy-lifting is required) Clean/sanitize the public/guest areas Assist Guest Service Agents with customer check-in and other customer service duties Anticipate and address customers’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation Speak with others using clear and professional language Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Drug test and background check may be required Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Required: Completed High School or equivalent, Drivers License (and reliable transportation), must currently live on Kauai Desired Additional Skills: Typing and basic computer skills About Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc.
