JOIN THE PARTY! There will be food and other vendors, a face painter, music and entertainment as we celebrate the launch of a new children's book publisher. Meet the authors and illustrators and enjoy book readings and social activities as you meet other like-minded people of the community. There will also be a workshop by Davia A. Morris (illustrator of 8 of the 21 books) who will be visiting us from the sunny Island of Jamaica where she lives and works. HOST Honorable Curtis Ward former Jamaican Ambassador to the United Nations HONORED GUEST Her Excellency, Jamaican Ambassador Audrey P. Marks Honorable Denis Antoine former Grenadian Ambassador to the United Nations and United States SCREE was envisioned as books written and illustrated by people of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora to help educate and enrich the communities they now live in. These books address the need for faith, family, and future aspirations to help our communities grow. Scree Books have both religious and secular titles to help guide young children to build a strong foundation which they can improve upon as they mature into teens and young adults.
