The Citizens Police Oversight Commission will be holding a Hunting Park Community Townhall at the Hunting Park Rec Center on Tuesday July 19th from 6-8PM. This Townhall is open to any and all residents, especially those in the 25th and 39th Police Districts. This townhall discussion will center around improving community police relations, how racism in policing harms communities of color and how we attract and retain Officers who really wish to serve the community. We want to hear from you! Please join us at the Rec center for discussion and refreshments, bring a friend, tell a friend! Some of CPOC's commissioners and staff will be there to talk about CPOC's role as the official civilian oversight agency of the Police Department. We have invited our elected officials, houses of faith and worship and the community. We will open the floor for public comment to discuss these important issues.
