OT/TRA by Zimmerman Workshop is an award winning wood furniture design and manufacturing company based in Brooklyn, run as a sister company to our successful architecture and design studio. We are looking for someone willing and able, with a can-do attitude, someone who is always staying busy and ready to dive in. The role will be to assist the team in any way possible to help us stay organized and on task. You can check out our Architecture firm company here: www.zimmermanworkshop.com You can check out our furniture collection here: www.ot-tra.com We need a full-time shop assistant who can fill the following job requirements. • Must be responsible and reliable – on time every day. • Must be eager to help and a team player. • Need to be able to help lift heavy boards and materials. • Need to be ready to run errands for the team. • The primary responsibilities are to keep the shop organized and clean on a daily basis. • We expect you to be cooperative, and collaborative, a team player. • This is intended to be a growth position. After proving oneself, the right person will transition into a furniture maker down the road. • At times, you may be called upon to sand or assist in furniture making or related tasks.
