Greetings parents of high school juniors or seniors and their students! I am a seasoned, college admissions advisor with 20 years of experience, helping, literally over 1,000 students and families navigate the college admissions landscape. I am offering a 3-day college admissions workshop, from Monday to Wednesday, August 1 to August 3 from 9 am to 12 noon, at the event space in the Burlington Hyatt. This will be an info-packed event. Students, get a good night's sleep so you can concentrate and take notes! Students sit at the event room tables and parents are welcome to stay by sitting in seats along the back of the room. There will be time for questions during the seminars and after. The three sessions will include the guide and will cover: Day 1: Why attend college? Standardized testing, ACT vs SAT, Resume writing, College admissions terms and concepts Day 2: Create a college visit list, Four steps to research colleges, Admissions and College visits, Artist and atheletes Day 3: Visit question samples, The application, Recommendations, Essays, Financial Aid and Success once in college.
