These events are open to all individuals who would benefit from a low-sensory museum experience. Guests will meet at 520 Royal Street at 9 a.m. to visit two exhibitions that will be modified to be sensory friendly: Making Mardi Gras and Robert Tannen’s Jackson Square. After touring the exhibitions, guests can try hands-on “mini” activities. Build a mini town square using Legos and magnetic tiles. Decorate your own mini-Mardi Gras float. Create a vibrant, mini 3-D paper shotgun house. Whether you like building or coloring, there’s something fun for everyone!
