Safe@Home by Safe SitterĀ® is a program designed for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. A Safe@Home student booklet is required for each student, which can be picked up at Woman's Foundation after scheduling a pick up time with [email protected], our address is 4630 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suite 100, Building A, Lafayette, LA 70508. The book can also be mailed if you have registered by September 5, 2022.
Students without a booklet will not be eligible to participate.
Safe@Home is a 90-minute program that teaches students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe SitterĀ® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.
