Our SF band is called "The Sean Conneries”, a spin-off from Cherie Lebow’s SF band “Bond Girl”. As much as Bond Girl is more specifically a James Bond rock band primarily playing Bond movie songs, The Sean Conneries is a different band with two of BG’s members, so the name has less to do with Bond than the era. Our music focuses on interpreting rarely played classic pop songs and original material. The Sean Conneries is Paul McCue on guitar/vocals, Kirstin Hirai on keys/vocals and Geo Kitta on bass/bg vocals. We’ve been together since 2015 and rehearse in SF off of HW101 at Paul Ave. We have played at Winters Tavern in Pacifica, The Stagecoach in Bernal Heights, Thee Parkside in Potrero, The Fireside in Alameda, Pianofight in the Tenderloin and The Milkbar on Haight St in SF. As much as we play live shows, we also focus on professional recordings of our songs and plan to produce an LP in 2023. We rehearse once a week and more if needed getting ready for upcoming shows or recording. We all have day jobs so involvement with our band is something we do as life-long musicians who want to create music together. Before saying more - you should listen to our songs and determine if they are of interest to you. Our dummer of over 10 yrs (with BG & TSC) is moving out of the area so this is why were are seeking someone to take his place. As you'll hear - our (exiting) drummer plays with finesse and dynamics and open ears - a must for the type of music we play.
