Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park celebrates 160 years since the dawn of freedom for the people of Mitchelville. The celebration will feature the 11th annual forum with topics of discussion and presentations on the themes of existence, resistence and persistence in black culture that began in the Sea Islands of South Carolina and expanded nationally. Scholars, entreprenuers, artists, teachers, students and community leaders will join together at this in-person event.
