You always know where you can find us in July. The Avenue Concept has been our outdoor summer home for more years we can count. Show up early and take a walk around the graffiti wall and check out the new indoor space. As always this event is free! Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm. Parking: There is a parking lot right across from The Avenue Concept. Seating: We've got seating, but it doesn't hurt to bring your favorite chair or a blanket just in case. Food and Beverages: We'll have a bar flowing throughout the evening. Food is TBD. Restrooms: Restrooms are available inside The Avenue Concept. Covid Stuff: We're back outdoors so you'll have lots of fresh air and plenty of room to keep a safe distance. PechaKucha Providence is built and sustained by our community. Thank you to our venues, vendors, and volunteers make this magic happen each month. Thank you to the Providence Tourism Council for supporting us in spreading the word about what we do. What is PechaKucha? If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
