SUMMARY This position responds to the Chief Engineer and is primarily responsible for performing maintenance work involving to keep walls, flooring, and painting of all building areas and/or the structure of the building in repair. Assisting in light electrical and plumbing. Some mechanical knowledge such as A/C, Plumbing and Electrical required. Available to occasionally respond to emergencies over the weekend. The person for this role should: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that appearance/ethics of building continue to be maintained in excellent physical condition so as to not allow the building to deteriorate. Under supervision must strive to learn to machinery or equipment to report machine malfunctions. Clean or lubricate tools as required. Paint areas specified by the Chief Engineer using hand tools and/or power tools. Assist as necessary with A/C maintenance in all units by replacing filters, adding algaecide tablets, cleaning drainpipe and pan. As well as checking coils to determine if it needs to be cleaned. Report findings. Assist with the maintenance of all electrical rooms, elevator machine room, trash rooms, A/C equipment rooms and receiving. Prepare building for hurricane season. Etc.
