Mara (Tallie Medel) and Jo (Norma Kuhling) have been friends since middle school. As they navigate through their late twenties and early thirties, they take divergent paths—Mara adjusts to new responsibilities (work, parenting, relationships) while Jo continues to struggle with depression. In Fourteen, director/writer/editor Dan Sallitt gracefully composes a montage of early adulthood, honestly displaying the impacts of friendship and our heart-felt attempts to be there for one another. Runtime: 1h34m Doors: 6:30pm Film: 7:00pm Reality Club works together with open minds and compassion to explore reality through the arts. The Reality Club Film Series is a way for them to share films. Often, they screen experimental artist films or features that would otherwise not be screened in Kansas City.
