I have an 18-month-old Saluki we received from a sighthound breeder. She is not fitting into our lifestyle or getting along with our dogs. We love her and we want the best for her so we are going to be strict on whom she is rehomed with. We're asking the following and will verify these things: (1) The rehoming fee is $1500 and is non-negotiable. (2) You must have sighthound experience or have performed extensive research into the breed. (3) You must not have any other cats, or dogs other than Salukis. (5) You must not breed her and will sign a contract stating as such. (5) You must agree NOT to feed a raw meat diet. (6) You must not be a felon or have any criminal history related to the abuse of animals. (7) There will be no health warranties expressed or implied, see the note below for full disclosure. An additional thing to note, the breeder was found to be an unlicensed backyard breeder who did DIY vaccines. We have no paperwork, other than rabies, to confirm the vaccines she received. She was recently sick and was examined by the vet, for which we have those records and it appears to be minor. The dog is microchipped and registered in my name.
