Title: The rehabilitation of SH-28 over the historic Pensacola Dam in Oklahoma Presenters: Adam West Join Adam West from Benham, a Haskell Company, as he talks about Benham’s partnership with Grand River Dam Authority and Oklahoma Department of Transportation to rehabilitate the historically significant SH-28 bridges over Pensacola Dam and spillways at Grand Lake in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The project included developing a preliminary study and plans for the potential widening of the bridge to the upstream, downstream, and a split widening, as well as rehabilitation plans for the main bridge and two bridges over emergency spillways. Benham performed a load testing program in accordance with the Manual for Bridge Evaluation, which determined the bridge capacity was higher than determined using traditional beam theory and AASHTO distribution factors for live load. Lunch will be at noon, with socializing starting at 11:30.
