Description
If you're reading this… THIS IS YOUR CALL TO ADVENTURE! There is no going back now! Unless you took the blue pill or ignored Princess Leia’s hologram message to Obi-Wan then you have made your decision. However if you did show interest, then you are like many of the heroes in most stories we see and hear today, looking for a change or having no choice but to move forward in the Journey. This is that moment in your life where you are ready to begin your creative journey. Red pill or blue pill? Why attend this workshop? Because I want to help develop your idea or push you in the right direction to create something that you care about. I’ve been developing stories for various projects and it wasn’t until recently a friend hired me to help structure his screenplay. That’s when the idea to extend this to my community came, especially to share my knowledge with those who didn’t have the privilege to attend a university or the luxury to continue their education. This is my first workshop by the way! It’s my way of giving back to the community by doing what I love. I also figured this would be a great way to bring creatives together and network while trying to bring your stories to life. First and foremost, your story needs to be something you care about, and the rest will come! I’ll provide examples of how! You only need to bring your notebook and idea. Did I mention the best part? It’s FREE! You only stop growing as you stop learning. Keep on pursuing tu Fuego! About Edwin FrankO Edwin FrankO (Edwin Frank Ortiz) is a Latino film director of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent hailing from Barrio Logan of Southeast San Diego. He graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts with an emphasis in directing. FrankO began his artistic journey as a hip-hop dancer. Edwin discovered his "fuego" back at Point Loma High School when a film colleague asked if he can dance and act in his film. Being new to acting, he loved it and decided to pursue it. This eventually introduced him to film production and the rest is history. With a creative portfolio that consists of acting for theatre and film, producing and directing music videos, commercials, and documentaries, he looks forward to finally creating meaningful narrative content that will tell more stories from underrepresented communities. imdb.me/edwinfranko fuegoshortfilm.com
