Job Title: Association Dock Facilities Assistant Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time Pay: $17-25 per hour The Harborage at Ashley Marina Condominium Association is searching for a an Assistant Dock Master to perform a variety of duties related to floating dock maintenance and marina improvements. Qualified applicants will have carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and/or painting experience. Hours are somewhat flexible but will include weekends. Pay range is $17-$25 an hour depending on experience. Responsibilities: - Perform general dock repairs and maintenance - Comply with OSHA and SC DHEC regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations - Enforcement of Regime Rules and Regulations and the ability to quickly identify vessels that do not meet navigability requirements - Daily dock walks to ensure Marina docks and boats are safe and walkways are free of obstructions - Assist slip owners with docking and fendering - Monitor communication channels (phone, VHF, and email) - Help orient slip owners and their guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questions - Assist boaters with pump-outs and update pump-out logs for Clean Vessel Act reporting - Minor clerical work including updating owner information, parts and tools inventory, part sourcing and ordering, documenting incidents, and updating vessel/slip occupancy logs Qualifications: - Applicant must have carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting experience. - Trade skills and/or certifications a plus - Previous marina experience or boating experience preferred - Excellent communication skills - Ability to handle multiple operational demands with professionalism - Applicants must live in the Charleston area - Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and able to lift 50 lbs - Must be able to swim Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Weekend availability
