In this action packed hour, you'll learn everything you need to know to create your own Cricut projects. Even if you've dabbled a bit with Cricut, Amber will take you to the next level and share a lot of inspiring projects.
We'll start with the basics of the machine and its settings including accessories such as mats and heat presses.
Amber will cover the basics of design space (where you create your projects): cutting, print then cut or draw options, slice, weld, group, attach, flatten etc. Finding and using files (svgs) and fonts.
We will also explore material types (and what you can use them on) including vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, infusible ink and various paper types.
The first hour of the class will be instruction and demonstration. Anyone who wishes to stay and try their hand on a small project with Amber's help is welcome. (Basic materials are included but if you have something you want to print on to, bring it.)
Cannon Valley Makers has a Cricut machine, heat presses and a variety of materials. Amber's instruction will focus on these tools but she is able to answer questions about other tools as well.
Ages: Adults, teens and kids ages 8 and up.
Cost: $10 (All proceeds support Cannon Valley Makers)
Instructor: Amber Reher is a teacher, maker and mom who creates something with her Cricut just about every day. She has extensive experience with a variety of Cricut tools and materials as well as a trove of project ideas to share.
