Intro Carbine Class, This class is intended for students who are new or have never had any formal training on the AR15 platform. It covers the basic operation of the AR15 platform, maintenance, safe handling, and fundamental rifle marksmanship. This lays the groundwork for future training by emphasizing the basic fundamentals. Student Requirements: • Rifle w/ iron sights or optic, sling, at least 3 magazines • 200rds factory ammunition • Eye and ear protection, kneepads, hat with brim • Weather appropriate clothing • Lunch • Optional: belt with magazine pouches Learning Objectives: • Demonstrate safe weapon handling skills • Understand basic operating principles of the AR-15 system • Demonstrate field strip • Demonstrate admin load and make ready • Demonstrate emergency reload • Understand how to zero rifle sighting system • Demonstrate proper marksmanship fundamentals • Score 70 or better on Intro to Carbine Qualification Course of Fire Cost is $150, plus a $25 cash range fee that's due the morning of class.
