Description
Carpenters are responsible for producing good quality design, construction and repair by meeting or exceeding accepted industry standards.
A Day in the Life:
Maintain proper safety protocols as set by OSHA on all job sites (e.g., safety vests, goggles, steel-toed shoes.) Ensure compliance with plans, specifications and procedures as required to complete the project in a timely and quality manner. Monitor work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal Code Requirements and reports back to supervisor. Designs, constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick.
What you will bring to the team:
Your knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in both rough and finished carpentry settings. Also, your knowledge of building and safety code requirements, methods and practices in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment.
What you will need to succeed:
Experience in restoration or a related industry preferred. Four plus years of construction/carpentry experience preferred.
