Description
My wife and I moved from the west coast to Florida about three months ago. Someone who owns an empty lot next to us just kind of left his dog on a chain on the lot and gave us two bags of dog food and asked if we would feed him. He said he would be back in a while. He returned once with some more dog food and then he disappeared. The dog's name is Bobo. He is actually a very sweet dog. We think he is a mix of Australian Shepard and some other breed but we're not sure. After a short while we moved him onto our property very near the front door and driveway so he has a lot of interaction with us. We built him a dog house to stay dry in the rain. And we have been providing him steady food and nice treats from Costco almost every day. We go out and pet him frequently. We have three cats and they walk all around him with no fear. He does act meek as though he may have been abused but this behavior is not very pronounced. Mostly he sits or lays down when you approach him but he lets you pet him and within a few seconds he'll sit up and ask for more pets with his paw. Thankfully he does not have a barking issue either. He'll bark a little bit when thunder rolls through and that's really about it aside from the occasional bark or two. He never wakes us up and he's right next to the house. All in all he's very easy to have around and we really like him. We guess he's about eight years old. We'd love to keep him but my mom had a stroke in Idaho so we stopped remodeling this old house we bought and we are packing everything back in our old moving truck and moving cross country to take care of my mom. She lives in a house with a tiny yard and lots of flowers, plants, and vegetable gardens squeezed into that very small space. We just can't impose Bobo on her yard at this time as we're already bringing ourselves and our three cats. We would love to find someone who could give him a nice home in the country. As I said he's a really sweet dog and he deserves a nice life. According to craigslist policy I believe we have to charge a rehoming fee so we are charging $20.00 for Bobo. My last ad was flagged by someone and removed for reasons I do not understand. There are lots of people looking for homes for their pets on craigslist. We really don't want to turn Bob over to an animal shelter but we may have to. Thanks for your consideration. Jon Note: If you are the person flagging my ad could you please contact me and tell me what you don't like about it. This is about Bobo and finding him a home. We've got three weeks left. Thank you.
