An average workday is between 8 – 10 hours with a 30-minute lunch. All installers begin and end their day at our Manor manufacturing facility. PAID WEEKLY on FRIDAYS Job Description: Report to our Manufacturing facility in Manor, Texas Monday – Friday at 7am, load up the day’s shutter project(s) into your company provided 16-foot box van. You will drive to customers’ homes every day, utilizing premade job packets for guidance, and install 100% custom made Interior Shutters using company provided tools – such as cordless nail and screw guns. You will be trained to make small on-site modification to the shutters so that they may fit in the openings of the windows (if need be). As an installer, you will act as the liaison between the customer, production, and sales teams to communicate any issues which may arise during installation. Skills Ability to: Read and follow basic diagrams that instruct you on how to install our shutters using hand power tools (I.E. cordless nail and screw guns) Troubleshoot on-site - at times you may be required to make small modifications to the shutters with hand power tools (I.E. belt sander, pad sander & skill saw...) Lift between 50 to 75 pounds Occasionally Climb up and down a ladder Communicate with customers before and after installation Communicate with co-workers Time Management About Us Southern Shutters has been handcrafting custom made Interior Plantation Shutters for nearly 30 years.
