BSG is the premier leader in contracted housekeeping, laundry, and dietary services to medical and long-term health care facilities. We are looking for Dietary Aides and Cooks.
The role of our Dietary Staff is described in detail below and must be performed in a manner that sufficiently meets client satisfaction. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by BSG Maintenance location based on client requirements and business needs.
Cooks
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Stock and label ingredients for convenient accessibility.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking the meals
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, desserts etc.
- Maintain a clean kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, removing trash…
- Ensure food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Aides
- Helps with food preparation (as needed)
- Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment, appliances and work areas
- Stocks serving areas with needed supplies (condiments, beverages, utensils, etc.)
- Assists with meal service and providing residents desired food and beverage items
- Assists with set-up/clean-up of dining rooms
- Utilizes dish machine appropriately and puts away clean/dry dishes
- Prepare meals according to resident's special dietary requirements
- Record temperatures of all foods prepared and served
- Light cleaning of common areas
- Assist CNA's in serving breakfast and lunch
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
