Job description The Electric Barn of North Hampton is an electrical supply distributor that specializes in hard to find/obsolete industrial electrical components. The Electric Barn is seeking a Laborer to participate in the removal and recycling of industrial electrical equipment. The primary responsibilities of this position are assisting our demolition team with the removal of electrical equipment and preparation for resale. Electrical apprenticeship or license in preferred but not required. Responsibilities • assist in in removal of electrical equipment such as panelboards, disconnects, transformers, switchboards, etc. • Safely load and unload trucks in a manner that protects the quality of equipment • cleaning equipment free of dirt, grease, non-OEM labels, unnecessary wire and fittings. • use power/hand tools to disassemble equipment • prepare equipment for stock by identifying and labeling equipment. • inspect equipment for any damage or signs of damage • disassemble/assemble equipment and clean components • sort and recycle scrap materials accordingly • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment Skills • experience using hand and power tools • Good organizational and time management skills • Ability to lift 60lbs • forklift and pallet jack experience • mechanical abilities/experience (change car oil, change car tire, general mechanical inclination) • OSHA 10 Safety Certification is required for this position.
