Publix All Publix stories will be open at regular hours and close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve.On New Year's Day, Publix stores located in the following Florida counties will open at 7 a.m.: Broward, Dade, Indian River, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie. All other stores open at regular hours. Many stores will close at 7 p.m.; stores in select areas will close later. Locate a store near you for specific store hours. All Publix pharmacies are closed on New Year's Day. Aldi Aldi will be opened limited hours on New Year's Eve and will be closed New Year's Day. Walmart Walmart will be open regular hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Target Target will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. New Year's Day.
