Costumed carnival dancers, Bongos, drummers, percussion, + more for your event Bloco La Conga is an energetic and irreverent drum and brass ensemble that plays Carnaval music of the Americas. We mostly focus on Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian Beats and are always adding in new influences from the African diaspora. La Conga is on a mission to introduce the conga santiaguera, the unique and exciting sound of Santiago de Cuba's carnaval, to audiences in the New York area. Previous Performances include: Long Island University, MOMA PS 1, NY Presbyterian Hospital, NYRican Poets Café, NYC Halloween Parade, Shrine, and Sabor Latino.
