Description
BCS Spay has several cats and kittens in need of foster (or forever) homes. When you foster, we provide any needed supplies such as a carrier, bowls, and litter box. We also pay for vet care such as FeLV/FIV test, spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccines. You get a kitty to feed and love until they get adopted (foster to adopt is an option), and the good feeling of knowing you are helping save lives. Fostering is usually for a month or two, but can be longer.
Fosters should live in Brazos County (or close by). Best if you have a room where the cat or kittens can be kept separate from any pets (at least until tested and fully vaccinated). And in most cases we ask that you be able to bring the cat or kittens to our adoption events 2-5pm Saturday afternoons at the College Station Petsmart on University Ave (once they are spayed/neutered and up for adoption). OK if you miss occasionally or need to drop off around 2pm and pick up around 5pm rather than stay but usually you will want to meet potential adopters to tell them all about the kitty.
Pictured are some younger kittens that are waiting on spay/neuter slots before going up for adoption, some adult cats who are done with vetting or will need one more trip to the vet for vaccines, and we have a super friendly cat with FIV = Feline Immunodeficiency Virus who would do best in a home of his own (so he cannot catch anything from other cats).
