DRIVER/CART ASSOCIATE - MCO Orlando International Airport part-time This position will be hired by DBE (Disadvantage Business Enterprise) $15.50 / hour Multiple Shift openings! 7AM - 3:30PM, 11:00AM - 7:30PM and 2:00PM - 10:30PM Must be available nights and weekends  COMPANY BACKGROUND Smarte Carte, Inc. is the leading concessionaire of self-serve vended luggage carts, electronic lockers, commercial strollers and massage chairs, as well as other passenger and guest services.   Smarte Carte is headquartered in St. Paul, MN and has operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Singapore. BASIC JOB FUNCION: Transport carts between airport terminal building A, B, and C including international FIS and garages, using a truck and or a trailer to ensure adequate carts availability to stock Smarte Carte vending units at new terminal C.    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Operate company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain a vehicle and cart movement log, perform necessary inspections at the beginning and end of each shift. Transport and drive carts from high return areas to high car rental areas to ensure that carts are always available to customers. Perform routine and minor maintenance and cleaning of carts and Cart Management Units (CMUs). Learn and practice safety procedures: covering self, co-workers, passengers, and visitors, Smarte Carte and airport property. Provide courteous service in assisting customers. Provide floor coverage (collecting loose carts and/or replenishing CMUs) by walking or driving and electric tug vehicle when required. Additional duties as assigned.  QUALIFICATIONS:  6 months previous work experience Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills Must be 18 years of age or older High School diploma or equivalent CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Ability to get airport badge is required Drivers License is required PHYSICIAL REQURIEMENTS Lift up to 50 lbs. to waist height Push and pull 75-100 pounds Walk and stand for duration of shift Experience Required 6 months previous work experience preferred Education Required High School or better Licenses & Certifications Required Drivers License Airport Badge Skills Required Communication Customer Service Driving Cleaning Preferred Flexibility Time Management Behaviors Required Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Preferred Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest
