Treehouse Fabrication and Scenic inc are hiring skilled builders, carpenters, painters and metal workers. “About Us” Building with Perspective - Treehouse Fabrication & Scenic is a seasoned team of craftsmen and craftswomen who transform impressive visions into tangible realities, delivering custom-fabricated environments for both brands and agencies. General Overview Builders are responsible for building and installing custom fabricated environments and structures. They are expected to read and follow blueprints and construction documents as needed. Our builders need to be proactive and can coordinate different tasks throughout the day. A typical day for a builder at Treehouse can include building a set flat, Installing LED lighting and applying a paint finish. Our industry is incredibly fast paced, so it is a requirement that our builders have excellent time management skills and are extremely punctual. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, schedules and other construction documents. • Build walls, displays, cabinets and structures using woodworking machines, hand tools and power tools. • Finish build components using techniques such as scenic painting, laminating, faux concrete application, etc... • Operate company vehicles and machinery including but not limited to box trucks and forklifts. • Move and store necessary materials around the shop and jobsite as necessary. • Ensures that shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material. • Deliver and install custom build components onsite. • Strong commitment to shop & job site safety and efficiency Requirements • Demonstrates strong leadership skills. • Possesses detailed knowledge of custom fabrication industry. • Works well with a team • Exhibits strong customer service and interpersonal skills. • Possesses solid analytical and problem solving abilities. • Manages time efficiently and is able to multi task effectively. • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and is detail oriented. • Is capable of translating industry terminology into straightforward terms for explanatory purposes. • Ability to operate power tools such as table saws, chop saws, finish guns and other carpentry related tools • Strong leadership experience • Ability to work overtime when needed • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record • Must be willing to travel Work Environment • Some areas of the job site may be hazardous so protective gear should be worn when appropriate • Shift may vary from day to evenings. • Weekend hours will be required. • Standard 40-hour workweek applies, though overtime may be necessary.
