Giants Baseball Camps in the San Francisco area is looking to hire a Summer Baseball Camp Coach who is available to work one to three weeks (July 18-22, 25-29, and/or August 1-5) at our Saratoga, San Mateo, and Los Altos camps and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth while developing in them a love for the game and the San Francisco Giants. ABOUT GIANTS BASEBALL CAMPS Giants Baseball Camps feature five action-packed days of individualized instruction, marquee competitions, and special events for boys and girls ages 4-13 of all skill levels. Each camp session is a week long (Monday-Friday) from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and each day features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the diamond that they can use off the field to become more outstanding young men and women. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUMMER BASEBALL CAMP COACH As a temporary Giants Summer Baseball Camp Coach, you are the backbone of our organization. Each morning, you provide campers with individualized tips and tools for improvement during our "Train and Compete" stations. The structure of these stations allows campers to immediately apply the skills they have learned to an exciting competition where prizes are on the line. Campers' opportunities to improve their skill sets continue each afternoon during the weeklong World Series Tournament. During these tournament games, you use teachable moments to help each camper develop their game even further. In addition to the "Train and Compete" stations and World Series Tournament, the Giants Camp curriculum is loaded with unforgettable events and experiences. With energy and positivity, you inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions - all while having a great time! Whether you've been coaching for years or are new to the role, you work hard each day to support the operation. Since all equipment, training, and curriculum are provided, you don't need to be a baseball or softball player or even have expertise in the sport. Rather, you provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball or softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SUMMER BASEBALL CAMP COACH Experience working with children ages 4-13 A passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic way Availability for at least one week in Saratoga, San Mateo, or Los Altos Are you able to connect with children both one-on-one and in a group setting? Do you lead by example and demonstrate strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude? Are you dependable and reliable? Do you know how to have a lot of fun?! WORK SCHEDULE FOR A SUMMER BASEBALL CAMP COACH This temporary coaching position is approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a one to three week commitment in Saratoga, July 18-22, San Mateo on July 25-29, and/or Los Altos, August 1-5 with the opportunity to add more weeks at other locations.
