Indie rock singer looking to form a band

Hey there. I'm a 38 yr old singer in Sacramento (near Natomas). I work full-time M-F and in my free time I like to write and sing music. I've always wanted to form a small band and someday do some live shows. My style of singing is versatile with both rock and r&b influences but I lean more towards the indie rock genre (reference The Strumbellas) I've seen a lot of ads for cover bands but I'm more interested in creating music rather than covering it. I've always had a knack for writing songs and catchy melodies. I would like to meet up with a guitarist who is interested in creating brand new material around the indie rock vibe / funk vibe. Around my age range in 30's late 20's would be preferred just to increase the chances we would get along well. But I'm very down to earth and easy going so I can usually get along with anyone. I was thinking we could meet up for a drink or lunch and talk about next steps if we are vibing and think its a good match. I hope to hear form someone soon! - Jeremy Iris
