CMM Operator/Inspector Job Description (First Shift) Responsibilities & Duties • Operation of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), including programming and maintenance of programs, set up and execution • Follow CMM program setup and execution documentation • Perform necessary edits to CMM programs • Review CMM reports and determine discrepancy shifts or possible rework options • Conduct CMM inspections of miscellaneous parts and tooling as required • Conduct miscellaneous surface plate inspections and use hand-held gages such as calipers, mics, thread gages, height gage, hardness tester etc. • Perform in-process inspections using calibrated hand tools • Perform some assembly inspections when needed • Carry out first article dimensional inspection (AS9102) for manufactured or supplier parts • Effectively access data from Catia for customer specifications, measurements, annotations, etc. Qualifications & Skill Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • High school diploma or equivalent • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR Compliance) • Minimum 3 years aerospace experience programming and operating CMM • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet research • Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance • Must be able to interact and assist with manufacturing personnel regarding part conformance and process capability • Knowledge of AS9102B, Nadcap M&I requirements • Recommended experience with CAMIO CMM Software (willing to provide CAMIO training if candidate has previous experience with other CMM software) • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with little supervision • Able to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines • Positive attitude • Sense of urgency • Team Player Apply now in just 2 minutes!
