Awning & Canopy Installer Job Description Awnings Above, a commercial awning manufacturer located in Duluth, GA is looking for Awning & Canopy Installers. You will be attaching canvas & metal awnings/canopies onto buildings and other structures, using hand and power tools, while always maintaining the integrity of the structures. A minimum of one full year of hands-on construction and/or installation experience will move you up on the candidate list. Candidate must have the ability to ***lift 100+ pounds.**** Mathematical skills are critical so you can take measurements and make accurate calculations. We are looking for individuals that will show up on time, have a good work ethic, and are willing to take direction and learn. This position includes traveling. Hotel and meal expenses are paid for as well as each 3-person crew has a company truck. You will be traveling Monday-Friday within a 6-hour radius of Duluth, GA. Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent • Mathematical skills are critical so you can and take measurements • Basic knowledge of Blueprint reading • Basic knowledge of safely working with power tools & hand tools • A minimum of one full year of hands-on Construction experience • Valid driver’s license • Pass a background check & drug test • Must be able to travel 100% of the time occasional overtime and some weekends • Meal & hotel expenses paid – each 3-person crew assigned a company truck • Bi-Lingual very useful – Spanish & English Responsibilities • Ability to lift 100lbs+ and to reach, stand, kneel, and climb ladders safely • Attach canvas & metal awnings/canopies onto buildings and other structures, using hand and power tools, while always maintaining the integrity of the structures • Accurately measure installation site of awnings/canopies with proven understanding of basic decimal and fractional measurements • Assist with the fabrication of awning and canopy frames • Attach awnings to trailers for safe transport • Ability to operate aerial lifts and forklifts as required • Ability to communicate with management and other co-workers is crucial Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18 - $21 per hour based on experience with overtime available! Schedule: TRAVELING Monday – Friday with flexibility to work overtime & some weekends.
