Powder Coater Awnings Above is a leading commercial awning and canopy manufacturer in Duluth, GA. As a result of our growing business, we need to hire a Powder Coater who wants to join a team-oriented manufacturing company. You must have the ability to ***lift 100+ pounds.*** This person will be applying polymers to metal surfaces using conventional powder equipment. These coatings are cured in high temperature ovens. We will train you in the correct process to ensure safety and high standard of product that our company requires. Responsibilities • Ensure the proper cleaning of all raw materials to prepare for the powder coat process • Maintain the equipment used for the wash process • Maintain wash booth dirty water level to prevent leaking and over filling • Operate simple hand tools such as drills and impacts • Load powder carts in an efficient way for the powder process • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area – sweeping, handling, and disposing of scraps • Organize parts based on priorities for the day • Clean and maintain cleanliness of paint booth and oven areas • Daily inventory of powder in stock • Ensure all parts for a specific job are grouped together • Organize finished products based on priorities and deliverables • Ability to lift 100+ pounds Candidate will also help with other shop duties such as: • Shop organization • Aluminum panel cutting • Tool organization • Tool Maintenance • Deliveries Requirements • Pass a background check & drug test • Must have a valid USA driver’s license • One or more years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment • One year of industrial painting experience preferred • Ability to lift 100+ pounds • Ability to work Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm • Knowledge of powder coating and equipment a strong plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17 - $19 per hour based on experience with some overtime available! Schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday Full offering of benefits after 90-day probationary period!
