Hello everyone! I am looking for an amazing home for my almost 5 year old German Shepherd. He is not papered and is neutered. He is potty trained and crate trained. He is great with kids and other animals. He can be possesive over food and bones so requires separates feeding and bones in the crate only with other animals in the home. I would love for him to go with someone who had handled the breed before, has a yard, and possibly another dog there for him. He is a big goofy baby and he has been so loved and spoiled all his life. He cannot have human food as he has a history of bladder stones which resulted in a surgery to have them removed. This surgery has diminished his ability to hold his bladder for extended periods of time so he needs someone who is home most of the time and able to let him out. We also keep a little male dog diaper wrap around him sometimes as well to prevent any accidents in the home. No other issues besides his bladder! Rest assured though that his bladder is easily managed with water intake restriction and a frequent potty schedule of every 3-4 hours. Can sleep throughout the night without needing to go out, again with water intake monitoring. We are in no rush to get rid of him as he has a great home here and we would like to meet with whoever is interested him and view his future home and environment. We know with adult dogs that the first home may not always be the perfect fit so we can do a trial basis and we will take him back at any time if things don’t work out. This will be his second rehoming. His first rehoming, the owner kept him for approximately 9 months but with their schedules, found it hard to manage his bladder issues.
