Description

This workshop is led by a Syrian host who will teach traditional recipes from their home country. We will start cooking at 5 pm at Zenger Farm, an urban farm in Southeast Portland. In this workshop, there will be 3 different courses to learn: Dolma: a classic grape leaf appetizer, the Syrian wayKibbeh: savory beef & bulgur croquettesFatyr: an herbaceous hand pie, with a couple of topping variationsThis is a kick-off event to an ongoing series of cooking workshops led by refugees. All proceeds go towards Portland Refugee Support Group, whose mission is to empower refugees through social support and education. We are looking forward to breaking bread together! We suggest a donation of $60 to attend, however, we appreciate any amount you can provide to attend.
