Generation SERVE is excited to host Volunteer Untapped to keep Austin volunteering AND celebrate Volunteering Untapped 2nd birthday here in Austin! Together we will collect litter, share information about invasive species through chalkings, and create seed balls to talk about erosion and local ecology. We will be joined by the Keep Austin Beautiful staff at the beginning of the event to discuss the ecology of tributary/creek. Generation SERVE hopes to inspire Volunteer Untapped ATX members to keep Austin volunteering and consider other ways to give back through Generation SERVE by either joining a committee, or becoming Activity Leads. Generation SERVE hopes parents will learn about other ways to volunteer in Austin and make new friends! August in Austin is hot! While we will have a popup on site with snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray, come prepared with water, hats and anything else you may want to wear to stay cool. Our section is near Barton Springs Pool, so pack a day bag and cool off or hop straight into the creek! We're excited to #cleanupandcooldown with y'all! As a volunteer with Volunteering Untapped ATX and Generation SERVE , I understand that the nature of the volunteer activity may involve some potential risks of injury. I hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Volunteering Untapped ATX and Generation SERVE, its directors, officers, employees and any entities affiliated with this event from any and all liability, claim, demands and causes of action of whatever kind and nature. In addition, Volunteering Untapped has my permission to use photos or video taken at the event for publicity purposes. By signing this waiver I understand it is valid indefinitely.
