The San Diego Mountain to Beach Adventure is the perfect way to unplug and explore the unique natural surroundings of San Diego County (one of the most biodiverse counties in the nation!). Skip the hassle and worry of logistics and enjoy a high-quality nature immersion experience led by our native San Diegan guides. We'll depart in the morning from the quaint coastal town of Encinitas, CA in our 12 passenger Sprinter Van and head into the local Laguna Mountain area. Once we arrive at our destination we'll set out a guided group hike, with a pinnacle summit experience. Along the way, you'll be introduced to a variety of local flora and fauna and learn about the area from a geological perspective. We'll also stop to enjoy our surroundings, engage in short mindfulness practices and share tips on how to break free from the clutches of technology overuse. For lunch, we’ll stop in the local mountain town of Julian, CA, famous for its apple pie and cider. After making our way back from the mountains, we’ll visit local beaches in North County to admire the varied coastal landscapes, enjoy a relaxing beach walk, indulge in an afternoon picnic and play games on the beach. Scholarships available!The use of Nature Unplugged scholarship funds is limited to individuals or families who would not otherwise be able to access Nature Unplugged services. Scholarship recipients must be experiencing financial hardship, grief, trauma or an emotional hardship. Recipients may be identified through self-disclosure (recipient self-identifies or states need) or an external referral (external party identifies or states needs).
