Description
For this exclusive, small group event join AbleVeg owner Laura Koval at her home for brunch and a canning class. Enjoy a delicious brunch (menu below), then stroll through the AbleVeg Test Garden with Laura while sipping coffee and mimosas and asking all of your vegetable gardening questions. Visit with the resident dogs and chickens and look for ready-to-pick veggies. Inside, sample foods canned right from the garden as you learn the process of water bath canning. Work through the entire process while taking notes, participating in the steps, asking questions, and refining your new skills. Participants will each take home jars of their own canned goods, as well as the ability to water bath can their own foods at home.
Menu: Homemade pickles and preserves, homemade bread, brown sugar bacon, baked eggs with local sausage from the resident hens, roasted vegetables and potatoes from the garden, fresh fruit.
