Meet Marla Jeanne! Marla turns 1-year old on July 17 and weighs about 65lbs. Best guess as to breed: Siberian Husky/Malamute. She was rescued from an addict home, where no one was currently living. She had never been outside or with people. She is extremely sweet and loving. She wants to be close to her person. She loves to be touching you, whenever possible. She currently lives with a small dog, and plays well with him, but does want to have all of the toys he has. She LOVES to run and play with other dogs. She is very social with other dogs, but shy and passive with humans. She knows a few commands (when she knows you have treats) - sit, stay, lay, eat, “ok” (like a release from something), come, no, yes. She would do great as your only dog or with others. If you have a bigger dog, I think that would be a good combo. As stated earlier, she is timid with strangers. She tends to do better with females over males, she is good with children once they get acclimated. She is not leash trained, overly well. She does fine, but does much better once she is tired out. I love her so much and it pains me to be rehoming her. But, I know it will be best for her in the long run. She would HIGHLY benefit living somewhere with a large yard. She is a husky and needs her exercise!! Marla comes with her XL dog kennel, whatever food I have left, a blanket she sleeps with, and a couple toys.
